EDITING

for over a decade, kabir has edited and written for hit shows for a whole alphabet worth of networks, including HBO, NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, UPN, WB, PBS, VH1, MTV, ESPN, Showtime, Comedy Central, Sci-Fi, Bravo, Spike, Lifetime, Oxygen, and has done work for theatrical release for New Line Cinema, clients of Epic Records, UPN, and independent distributors.

along the way, kabir has had a hand in many hit shows (including the opening short film for the Academy Awards, and VH1's "Behind the Music"), has had segments run on "The Daily Show", and has been named senior/supervising editor of various top-ten-rated prime time series.

the Academy Awards broadcast was Nominated for an Emmy for Best Picture Editing, but due to Emmys rules, only seven of the many editors were listed. kabir takes solace in the fact that he will get to deliver an acceptance speech someday ...

kabir also edited Fox Sports' documentary series "Beyond the Glory", which garnered an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Edited Sports Series.

other recent projects include scripted projects for Comedy Central ("Van Stone") and HBO ("Wyclef Jean in America"), and Showtime ("Tracey Ullman's State of the Union").

also, he has edited and written for several unscripted pilots which have then made into series, including Comedy Central's "I'm With Busey" and MTV's "Viva la Bam" and "8th & Ocean." (he even suggested the name for "8th & Ocean").

kabir has also been spotted editing movie trailers, commercial spots, and music videos for Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube (among others).

kabir is based in los angeles, but seems to always be flying somewhere for work.
